Title: Autumn with the Pana LX3
Post by: dalethorn on October 09, 2008, 09:10:11 am
These aren't great photos, but they're about the best case for landscapes with the LX3 camera. They may look oversharpened, but I applied just enough to make them look less mushy than they were without it. This camera, in low light, will smear foliage so badly as to make the image unusable. This is the constant that's missing in reviews of small cameras like the LX3 - that users who image people, buildings, and other large objects close up may be happy to have a 24 mm wide angle lens, but for actual landscapes, it's worthless IMO.

These two photos were taken at F3.2, 1/500 sec, ISO 80.
