I just want to see how the Nikon/Canon split is going within the MF crowd.

I am using Nikon since age 13. Still using Nikon. I can use the equipment without thinking (not sure whether that is a good thing   )

Must confess, there are times I envy parts of the Canon system but I simply cannot put myself to switching though there are time I came close.

There are charming number of us here shooting with both Canon and Nikons... I guess you assume we are too snobbish or we have a nice set of teeth to vote here for both Edmund

 :Me Canon, you fodder.

 :I'm a Nikon guy.

 :Both "Nikon and Canon"

 :There's other brands, remember!

:I don't need any kid toys!

Hasselblad H & older Hasselblads (aka paperweights    )
Nikon D2X (waiting for new D3X or  preferably MX.
Canon G9 - wife pulled the rank, so she uses it too.

Looks like MF owners love their G9s ... and other heavier Canons.

I was expecting a lot of D700s, somehow.

Nothing still on the fence and actually trying to avoid a DSLR at all costs if i can. Matter of need and i seem to be doing just fine without right now. If i need one i can rent canon or Nikon within minutes for cheap. Honestly none of them are turning me on, so rather avoid the costs

Let me see, Guy, you've sold how many M8s, R8s, R9s, DMRs, a Canon or two,  memory fails me and yet I see your future -wait it glows, there a red spot soars above your head, it says "S2"

Trying to find the holy grail. No more than most Pros' though. There just a means to a end. The only thing i want soaring over my head is dollar signs.

I have a Canon 1Ds MkI, it's more than enough for what I need from a 35mm, and it complements my P25 very nicely. I really don't understand why you would want/need 3-4 cameras with similar specs, I suspect some are more interested in the gear than taking photos.

If your asking me it is over a 5 year period , nothing unusually there. I have nothing except my P25 plus. If the P21 Plus had ISO 1600 than I would have that also otherwise need nothing except a backup back which that i could use.

1ds2,1ds3 work horses but I'm really a Nikon kind of person so Kodak dcs760, Nikon F4 and F5 and a range of lenses, sold the 14nx . Not sure why I bought the 1ds3 now, doesn't seem a huge leap from the 2 , but at least I have a backup. Looked at a friends D700 last night and had a special moment.
Can't see the point of spending any more money on 35mm camera bodies now!

4 x Fuji S5, my main squeeze with Zeiss and Hassy glass.

Kodak SLR/n, quirky but ideal for certain situations were I need slightly more rez than the Fujis but mostly sidelined by the MF systems now.

Ricoh GRD, the one and only!

nailed to the N.
D3, D2x, D2h, D70, D100 and a SLR/n for good measure.

looking for a D1x on the cheap.
my D70 is not a D70ir.

edit:
I also used a 5D before the D3 came out for low light.

Got rid of all my Canon gear, most recently a 5D and 1DsIII. I for one, do not think the 5D II will hold anything to MFDB. I know that at least my 1DsIII did not. Megapixels aren't everything. I now have a P1 AFD and 30+ on the way as my main system. I still keep a P&S camera on the side for quick shots.
