Post by: stever on September 24, 2008, 06:59:22 pm
i've got an Amod which does not come with software supporting downloade to the XMP sidecar files

is there something easier to use than Downloader Pro?

I'm not sure what's so difficult about Downloader Pro, but if you're looking for something that's free you might want to check out GeoSetter (http://www.geosetter.de/en).

I use ImageIngester specifically because of it’s excellent GPS support.

looked at the alternatives - if i didn't already have Downloader, ImageIngester would be my choice for the friendlier (apparently) user interface

decided to stick with the devil i know and i've got a workflow that is reasonably simple

certainly hope LR will be able to import GPS data before long, now that they've got the Googel link in LR2

a little disappointed with the accuracy of my Amod - off by as much as a 100 ft. walking around the neighborhood (but sometimes spot on) -- still perfectly good for my needs and works fine inside my house - the price was also right

now to see what it does on a real trip
