Title: Z3100 idle
Post by: Hellstan on September 14, 2008, 08:13:51 am
Leaving the Z almost always on, but sometime not printing for several days, I let my CC Wear cotton cover (excellent products, by the way, and very nice people in SF ; we have several for screens, etc. www.ccwear.com) on it to protect it from dust and direct sun.
The cover doesn't really block air flow.
Is there a risk of heating or something ? (I didn't feel any heat, but just asking).

As long as the vents are clear, you are good.  I was thinking about the same thing, because there is so much dust in this office.

Well, I wouldn't go for a plastic or vinyle cover, but cotton breathe, and
the vents are relatively clear. Besides, there is a space between the Z
and the wall.
It's no so much for dust than direct sunlight, as there is a window nearby.
