Hi All,
I would appreciate feed back from the forum members on these 2 shots taken on the shore at Culzean, Aryshire, Scotland. The two shots are similar, only the foreground varies slightly by repositioning, & I'm stuck as know which I prefer?
Regards,
Alan Cameron

The bottom one. Less of the dark wedge of beach. (I might even crop a touch from the right.) I also like the little details in the foreground.

I agree. The balance is better in the second, and there is more interesting stuff going on in the foreground.

I agree: the bottom one. Not only does it offer a less divisive foreground, it also has a better texture for the sand and pebbles which melds into the mid-ground wave texture more cohesively.
-
Definitely the second of the two, for reasons already mentioned.
Mike.
