Hi Everyone,
I've been a longtime silent reader of this forum and have found it to be a great learning resource.
This a 6 image pano created using CS3, it was taken in Northern Peru with a 20D and 17-85IS lens.
Its my first pano that I plan on printing and hanging on my wall but before I do I would really appreciate any comments. I have considered cropping some of the sky out but haven't yet as I like the relationship between the clouds and their shadows on the valley floor.
Thanks for looking,
Matt

Looks like a stunning location!
The part I find perplexing (at this size - may well be much better resolved in a big print) is the second figure at the right: the white hood (?) is confused with the snow and it looks as if his face is pasted in to the distance, if that makes sense?
You have two quite different possibilities here: the majesty of nature spread out for humans to admire (as now) or total wilderness with a sweeping symmetry (without the figures).
I think the balance of sky and rock is about right myself - gives it room to breathe.

Thanks for your comments Lois.
I agree (now that you pointed it out to me) that the 2nd figure's head looks disjointed from his body. It is less apparent at full resolution (the image is roughly 9500 pixels wide) however I will try to lighten his face and body and perhaps darken the white fly sheet of the tent.
The figure on the left is my wife and I like how it's a candid moment of her admiring the view. Since this image will be on display in our home I think it also adds to the picture when viewed by visiting friends.
Cheers

I like this image very much. It's a breathtaking scene. If I had to nitpick, I'd prefer to see a bit more light on the person in the foreground. I like the fact that she's there, but she's too much in the shadows. Also, the clouds aren't very interesting.

A memory of what must have been a very special moment!

Well done. I think that I might like to see more foreground, to add a bit of perspective to the figures on the left.

I second that more foreground would work a lot better for me.
The light in the ANdes is incredible and it shows in the picture.
Cheers,

Thanks for the comments guys.
I agree that more foreground would be better but that's all the foreground I captured at the time. I've already stretched the lower corners in CS3 to allow that thin strip of rock / snow (that joins the left and right sides of the foreground) to remain when i cropped the image. Without that strip the image was very disjointed.
Guess I'll just have to try it again one day, shame its 15,000 km away!
