Title: Wind Swept
Post by: NLund on July 17, 2008, 09:58:14 am
Excellent image Michael. I love the way it draws my eye in, the flowing undulation of the branches, the increase in visual complexity from bottom left to top right, and just the overall Gestalt of the image.

Well seen and executed.

An excellent image.  Makes me wonder how difficult it was to stand upright while making the photo!

Yes, but a long time ago I was out in the St. Lawrence river in eastern Quebec (at low tide), during a big wind.  To compensate I had the legs of my tripod set up really wide, but the wind wasn't to be outdone, changed direction and blew the entire setup over onto a rock.  Dented the corner of the camera body (where the film advance was), and snapped the tripod collar on the lens.  As someone once said, the wind is the most powerful force on earth, and nobody's ever seen it...

Yep, cleared many a lift and ended many a romance.
