Title: z3100 on outdoor vinyll?
Post by: petermarrek on July 07, 2008, 06:37:29 pm
Has anyone printed on outdoor vinyll media such as HP 6775A on a Z3100?  How were the results and lightfastness?

I print on coated adhesive vinyl quite often using my z2100. I use the Intellicoat brand. There are many different companies that sell coated adhesive vinyl, such as, Lexjet, HP, Sihl, Rexam, etc. I laminate all prints that are intended for outside.

I've had laminated prints/signs that have been outside for over a year with no signs of fading.

Also, I have laminated Epson prints that have been outside, facing south, for over 3 years and still look great! So, I'm sure the HP inks will hold up just as well...if not better.

Lamination is key for any pigment aqueous inks to last outdoors!
