Title: D3 strap on !
Post by: Morgan_Moore on April 07, 2008, 01:51:41 am
Having been discussing RED on another thread I wonder if anyone can give advice on the other end of the spectrum

Since using the D3 I find my reliance on flash is diminishing due to useable 800

Say I was shooting.. (the job that comes to mind is a feature on a nursery I did recently)

indoors

I  could not use flash but geat a hot light of some form to lift the room light a bit (photon beard are they called)

Is there a little video camera that I could mount on a metzbracket (or suchlike) on the side of my D3 and just kind of film the days proceedings as I shoot stills?

The thing would need to be auto everything I imagine

How about a helmet cam with an SD card for storage.
Something like this.
Oregon Helmet cam (http://www2.oregonscientific.com/shop/product.asp?cid=20&scid=77&pid=709)
About as small as you can get. These are designed to be used on helmets or anywhere that you don't have space for a normal size camera or wher it may get a hammering.
If you want to spend more
Samsung Sport Cam (http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/camcorders/0,39029966,39195181,00.htm)
