Title: 1DMkII & Extreme IV? Need fast answer.
Post by: walter.sk on March 29, 2008, 05:10:42 pm
I just found out about the Sandisk rebate, ending tomorrow (3/30/08).

I have a 1DMkII and would like to know if the Extreme IV CF cards, using UDMA, will work in my camera. In addition, will the card work in my Sandisk ImageMate 12-in-1 USB-2 reader?

I think UDMA is Mark 3 and not the MK 2

Thanks for the reply.  I found out on the Sandisk website that the card is compatible with my camera.  I also found out on another forum that there will be very little difference in write speed in my camera.  But I can't lose:  With the rebate on 3 2Gb cards they will come to $25 each, so I think I will get them.

You won't see much speed improvement on a Mark 2 body but copy time between your card reader and your computer could be shorter (depending on your card reader and connection).
