Title: Wholesale Framing vendors in Canada
Post by: SeanPuckett on March 05, 2008, 01:20:42 pm
Matboard, moulding, hardware, etc.  Who sells it in quantity for prices that won't make me want to stab someone?  I'm looking for the Canadian version of framingsupplies.com.

Hoping....

Hi Sean

Where in Canada are you? I know of an fantastic source in the Maritimes that will ship at good prices - I'll pass your details onto the sales manager whom I know well if you are interested.

In some provinces it seems that you have to have a physical shop (not a home studio) to be able to get wholesale supplies.

This outfit in south Ottawa (http://www.artexpictureframes.com) may not be what you need but jic. They manufacture their own moulding and sell supplier moulding. They deal mostly with the kind of stuff that painters want/need (like my wife) and I don't recall seeing any metal frames there, nor did I see any hardware, glass, etc.

I use Larson-Juhl in Mississauga:

5830 Coopers Avenue
MISSISSAUGA ON L4Z 1Y3

Excellent selection of well-made frames.
