This picture is taken in the Rondane national park in Norway. The cabin is named Ljosåbu and you can find it if you go from Peer Gynt Cabin and towards Rondsvassbu. Suggestions of how to improve the picture is welcome.

Nice picture and location.

The only changes I would suggest is to crop some of the foreground out and I think the blue in the sky is over saturated.

Some smoke coming out of the chimney would make a nice homely touch.

I think that your composition is nice and works well.  You mostly need to adjust contrast and tone.  I did this quick modification:

Thank you. It means a lot get advice from a person with your skills. I have read some of your essays, and I am planning to buy your book.

Hi Bernt,

You are welcome.  I'll take a look at your other photo (in your other thread) and see what I can suggest.

Bernt,

The photo has the quality of "my being right there" for me.

What camera format and focal length lens did you use for the photo?

Also do you remember what the temperature was that day?

Thank you.

Very nice scene; I would agree with Lightfast.  Cropping the foreground to just above the triangular green rock would make the image a wider vista and give a different impression of the space.
