It needs more detai to my eye. The bottom 1/4 is pretty much lost - maybe a better crop and some PS tweaks for exposure?

Try cropping it square.

I agree that a different crop would help -- try either making it square or even landscape.

I don't see anything wrong with the composition but I suggest adjusting the color and contrast. Here's a suggestion:

I'm with Alain. Timo, its a lovely photograph, Alain's consumate experience/skill has made it sing.

I like the sense in the original that the rock is both rising out of the sea and out of the shadows--I think Alain's edit somewhat compromises that, and perhaps there could be some middle ground between too much shadow and essentially eliminating it.
