Whenever I receive an email with an image attached, clicking on the attachment automatically opens PS (v6). I've cannot figure out how to remove PS as the default viewer. I've searched both the XP and PS help files but cannot find the answer. It's probably some silly box somewhere that I cannot find. Does anyone know?
Thanks.

Windows knows what to do with a file based on the file's extension. Different extensions have different programs associated with them. Go to 'My Computer'/ Tools/ Folder Options and click on the 'File Types' tab on the right. Go down to file type: .jpg for example. Click on it, and it will tell you what program that file extension is associated with. Click on 'Change', and enter the command line for the program you want to open it with by default.

Less rigourous maybe, but simpler : install a simple image viewer as IrfanView, and tell Irfan to associate itself with images.

True, but it depends on the software (no personal experience with InfranView). Some programs, like QuickTime, for example, as part of the install will ask you what types of files to associate with it. Others don't.
