In a weekend newspaper here in the UK, they had a photograph of one of the 'suitcases'. This was divided into numerous sections and in each section could be plainly seen a spool of film - JUST the film, didnt seem to be any sleeve or any protection.
I have never seen film stored like this, was/is this a practice somewhere??
