Giving me your critique on some of my photography? I've attached some shots, and here (http://Genflag.deviantart.com) is the place I post most of them.

Edit: As I said in the other two, sorry about the triple post.

Sorry, this kind of stuff is not in vogue right now, although it has been in the past.  Just hang tight, when the wheel of taste swings back into this notch you'll be sitting pretty.  Until then shoot some super-tight HDR-like portraits, then we can talk.

PS I kinda like some of these, the fireworks is cool in a sort of outsider-art kind of way.  Also forgot the happy face on the above post, thank goodness.

I never used Photoshop and only took a few digital shots, so please excuse my ignorance if you used digital. But as B&W photos, there is a lot of room for improvement. Starting with choosing a Zone. Do not rely on your built in light meter! The exposure seems wrong in some photos and the contrast in the grass photo.

Maybe you can read on the ZONE SYSTEM? Ansel Adams, Fred Picker...

The hand photo, was that focussed accurately just like you wanted it? Just asking... Please do not be discuraged or offended!

Do you know the Zone System?

Kaukasian skin tends to require an overexposure by 1 stop (1 aperture. If the reading was 8.0/125 then select 5.6/125). Or if the value you choose is rather dark, underexpose the photo intentionally.
