Title: 1dsmk2 can't format sd 4gig card

I just purchased a 4 gig sandisk extreme 3 SD card and my 1dsmk2 can't format the card. Does anyone know what's happening here?

Is your firmware up to date? I seem to remember having had that same problem back quite a while ago. The current version is 1.1.6
