Title: Snake Wood
Post by: Keith S on December 31, 2007, 09:36:31 pm
I took this shot at Barrier Lake just east of Banff Alberta. This is my first attempt of using DOF to blurr the background with a digital camera. My question is, what would you have focused on?

(edit) Ok, better question. Why does the thumbnail look different then the photo on my computor? Sorry folks, this is my first attempt at posting here and I don't know how to kill this post.

Photo can be seen here. http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/8863/snakewooddr6.jpg (http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/8863/snakewooddr6.jpg)

I'd have focussed on the "eye".

I agree.  I'd also crop off the top, just about the chunk of ice, removing the distracting chunk of wood from the background.

My $0.02

Thanks for the comments.
Sad that the attachment didn't turn out. The ice above the drift wood is rather spectacular if seen in full format.
