I was just at the RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) trade show in Chicago. Barco Medical was showing their new 6MP 30 inch monitor. It was amazing. They didn't have a price point yet, and they hadn't yet considered the market outside of medical. But they were showing photographs as well as radiology images and the pictures were almost 3D. Highlights are the resolution, automatic calibration, and the 10bit grayscale or 30bit color. Also the screen uniformity and brightness were stunning.
Even though they didn't have a price point yet, I pretty much had the feeling when I asked about price it was along the lines of "If you have to ask...."
