Title: A November Day in Vancouver
Post by: PSA DC-9-30 on November 12, 2007, 05:51:14 am
I set out last Friday to try and capture some fall colors juxtaposed with some of Vancouver's more interesting architecture. Despite the overcast and gloom, I still managed to get a few shots I am happy with. I actually enjoyed the challenge; blue skies and pretty sunsets make surefire backdrops in many cases, but the gray we have here 80% of the time is a bit trickier. The wires used for Vancouver's electric buses are an eyesore and are difficult to exclude, unless you're willing to stand in the middle of the street. So, I decided to try and include them in as interesting of a way as possible. Here they are. All comments are welcome.

The first one is my favorite. It really sets off the contrast between the urban and the natural in a very pleasing way. A good challenge!
