Post by: rbayle on October 22, 2007, 12:09:07 pm
hello,

a picture I made in similkameen(BC).
about 9.3PM, very clear sky, the milky way was very bright.
no light pollution except the city of keremeos, that is lighting the face of the mountains.
all the elements were there for an interesting picture...

That's a very engaging picture, Romain.  Were you able to get that with just one exposure, or did you have to blend?

thank you!
I used the same RAW file twice, one exposure for the bottom part and a slightly different one for the top part.
and also some color correction.
but most of the magic is coming for the long exposure...

How short was your exposure to avoid getting star trails?

Very impressive picture.

thank you!
it's a 30s exposure, there's some star trails but you don't see it on a small resolution.
