Title: What is with the Adobe Forums?
Post by: bjanes on October 13, 2007, 02:15:17 pm
Adobe revamped their forums recently. After the revamp, I found them to be very slow and had trouble retrieving posts. Now they have gone back to their old format and have no messages since mid-September. Does any one know what is going on?

They've abandoned this forum upgrade attempt -- it was obviously NOT working well.  They rolled the forums back to the last backup before the change -- so all the messages (and user name changes) from the "new" forums are missing, and presumably lost.

Here's a link to more information:

Working with a company like WebX you have to wonder how they made this big a blunder. The idea of testing before they went live and subsequently tossed weeks worth of posts apparently never occurred to anyone.

Bill,

Honestly - I'm not missing Ramon & cheerleaders.

Peter,

Nor am I. However, occasionally Thomas Knoll posts there. I have not seen Chris Cox posting lately, but he has posted there. Where else can you get such authoritative answers?
