If there is one golden, genuine, total and universal truth in what Alain writes it is this: if your heart´s not in it, it won´t work.

Not only can this be applied to finding ´your´ subject but I´d go further and say that unless the desire for the expression of something special is so strong that you can´t help yourself, then photography might not be the place for you at all. This might sound a little OTT but if you consider the time, money, and not least the emotional expense of getting along in this kind of world, second and even third thoughts might well be in order!

Also, nice to read somebody telling it like it is about where creativity comes from and that it is only from within yourself that it can grow.
