Hi There:

I was going to put this in the Coffee Corner, but I thought this forum might be more appropriate.  The first link below is a newspaper article about a woman with synesthesia named Marcia Smilack and how she uses her rather unique 'sense' of the world around her in making photographs.  The second link is her website...

Well, Mike, what can I say?

I have looked at the lady´s site and I think her images are spectacular. I only wish that she didn´t use the synthesia (?) factor in the verbal disposition. I have no personal knowledge of whether the condition really exisits or does not; in the context of an Artist´s Statement (I always suspect these - possibly my failing rather than theirs) it comes over as highly suspect, as an attempt to add an entirely unnecessary gravitas to what is excellent vision in its own right.
