Hello.
Last week I managed a trip out to see the local Emperor Penguin colony. It's quite a mission to get there and managed a couple of hours down on the ice as it was very cold.
Here are a few of my shots, any comments appreciated, I'm learning loads from this site so will take criticism on board.

Fantastic! You did a great job of making them not "just another penguin" photos. They each have something interesting and beautiful.
It must have been a wonderful experience to see them.

Really nice shots!!
Try in photoshop to lighten the shadows a bit and you will probably see some detail in the black feathers. Except for the extreme cold and spartan living conditions, I'm envious of you.!!

I agree John, I'm helping him out! It was our first opportunity to leave base in 5 months and after 115 days of not seeing the sun so we made the most of it!
