Title: Center of attention

I took this photo in Guapi, the Pacific Coast of Colombia, my question is...does the open door at the end of the hut leads the eye out of the picture? Does it detract from the rest of the photo?

Hmm: it does give some more depth to the image - but I find the double focal points here a bit problematic. I can't decide whether to look at the musical instrument (?) or the door. Makes for a restless image.

Nice textures and tones here to look at. Not so sure about the (inevitable) perspective distortion though. I never understand why it is annoying in a photo when it is evident in real life! I suppose our brains compensate a lot more than we realise.

Thanks Lois! Yes I think many people found the image restless or uninteresting hence the lack of comments. It probably lacked a focus point. About the distortion it has never bothered me, in all the forums they are always telling me to correct the angles. Sometimes I have seen photos that I realy liked and they were shot with extreme wide angles.

Thanks again,

Andres
