Title: Oh so pretty !

Aningna is the Eskimo word for  "oh so pretty"   (ah ning ah) (Inupiaq Eskimo)

This young Inupiaq Eskimo girl was only ten when this was created. She is all grown up now.

I spent 1/2 hour with this child 7 miles out on the ocean ice @ 40 below zero.
I only exposed one frame of film!  When I saw her sitting on the seat of a snowmobile I approached her and when I brought the camera up she started to smile. I brought the camera down and said Please.. Kathy NO! do not do that. I want you to pretend I am not even here., look past me.. look through me.. oh yes.. YES.. YES  -=[click]=-

you could easily purchase a few high end digitial cameras with the amount of money we have made off this one image.

Nice story. The post lacks a certain something without the image, though.

It's impossible to deny the appeal of this image. I like it.
I'm curious about the green tint around the eyes.
I feel a bit cheated by this because obviously her eyes are not green.
But it does "work" somehow.
Personally I'm not fond of the green and gold frame around the picture.
