Title: Workflow & Printing Question
Post by: W00DY on July 01, 2007, 06:37:31 am
Hi All,

Sorry if this is a really basic question but I am still getting used to my workflow and working with Lightroom.

If I have prepared an image for print and am getting it printed from a photo LAB is it a good idea to save another version of the image on the HDD called xxxx_print.JPEG or should I just use the original file?

If creating another version I will actually have 3 (or 4) versions on the HDD, original, print, web, email etc...

How do you handle this?

Also how do I save the image to upload to the LAB? Their specs are JPEG, 300ppi and Adobe RGB.

Do I need to export a version with these seetings? How do I know if I have the right dimensions for different sized prints ( say for an 8 x 10 to ensure no cropping etc...)

Appreciate any help.

Cheers.
