I did and dragged some files through it. Though its appearance is the same it looks like it got a complete overhaul.

It appears to be faster and more responsive.

The files processed much faster than before, still not RD fast but nevertheless fast. I have not yet tried ISO200 and ISO400 these will tell wether it is really faster.

Sofar I am pretty impressed.

Haven't tried it tethered yet.

And the new firmware gives you moveable gridlines on the screen of the back, besides moving a specific gridline to a desired point you can chance the colour and numbers too - This is a very nice feature from an architectural photographers view.

Keep improving....

OK this may be premature, but I think Leaf has made a HUGE leap forward with this version of their software. I've only been messing around with it in my studio this morning and haven't run it through the wringer with a real live shooting situation yet, but so far I'm really thrilled.

I'm shooting with an Aptus 22 V mount and Hasselblad and Fuji cameras.

Here's what I've noticed so far:

1)Everything but capture speed seems faster.

2)High ISO looks better.

3)Touch screen performance untethered is way, way, way more responsive.

4)As an architectural photographer, that grid feature (which is totally customizable) is a big addition for me.

5)Everything really feels like it is working as a fully refined machine. It just has the feel now of a tool that works more like it was intended to and less like something I'm going to have to work with or around.

I'm sure there will be issues to resolve, but I think that after all the bashing the Leaf software team has taken over the last 2-3 years, they deserve credit when they get it right and this time it looks like they have. So "Thank You" Leaf software team.

Installed V11RC....

So, Err, why can I now not open 10.0.4 anymore????
Dialog box appearing on launch "Leaf Capture cannot start"

I've tried re installing it from the original CD too. Same problem.

I am in the middle of a major ad studio stillife shoot, working with A22 and LC11 tethered directly to an iMac G5 2,1.

After 2 days I can say the LC11 is rock stable, no major hickups except two times a lost connection. Simply had to click the reconnect button and that was it.

Pictures have very good quality (even at 400 ASA as far as I could see so far - very usable).

Seems the guys from Leaf did it very well

Best regards,
Clem

Just finished 5 days of ad shoots and V11 is great.
Much quicker, and much easier on the eye when peering into a laptop on location. Batch processing seems to be much quicker and smoother.
Overall very very stable - not one fall over or lost conection. Well done guys - keep it up.

A V11 Release Candidate just for the Aptus 75S has been posted on the Leaf site.  It would appear that the main improvement was a collaboration between Leaf and Apple to optimize Firewire driver performance on Intel based Macs.
