These were taken by a storm chaser, but they are also beautiful examples of cloud photos:

Wow!  Cool weather photos.  Thanks for sharing them.  My spouse flies small planes, and I kept thinking while looking at them, "That's REALLY not something one ever wants to see from a small plane..."

Those are terrific photos that capture the amazing cloud structures of severe and tornadic thunderstorms. They are much better than the National Weather Service use in classes to train weather watchers. I really liked your commentary too. Great job--it makes me want to become a storm chaser.

Unfortunately no photo can really capture the gigantic scale of these cells and a sense of the tremendous energy being released. As a retired corporate pilot, I can tell you we gave these babies a lot of room. It was always impressive to be at 39,000 or 41,000 and still only be "shoulder high" to these monsters.

I am so glad I live in a beautiful but peaceful area.

Great photos especially in your best category.

I love cloud shots. Those are awesome. My humble submission, from New Zealand (the clouds, not me ...)
