Title: Print & Email without Source File

Can one print or email pictures without being connected to the original files in Lightroom? It is interesting that the image can be worked on, adjusted and developed without the source file. While the previews are large and available in the database, it seems nothing can be printed or emailed without the source. This appears to be so in iView as well. Is there a method available which is not evident?
