Title: Keywording Panel with Option key down?
Post by: francois on March 12, 2007, 01:26:56 pm
When I hold the option key down (on a Mac), numbers are displayed in front of each recent keyword. If I maintain the option key down and click on one of the number, the cursor becomes a hand. Holding the mouse down and dragging around seems to produce nothing useful.
Anybody knows what is this supposed to do?

I'm guessing the numbers in combination with some other keys allow you to assign that particular keyword.

When I click and hold, the panel scrolls but it's weird that you have to exactly click the numbers to scroll the panel.

Tom,
Thanks for opening my eyes! After some more experimentation, I found that the hand is only there to scroll the side panels. And one does not need to click exactly on the numbers - I was wrong. It works the same on either the left or the right panel - I was in Solo mode and therefore no scrolling was possible.

As for the numbers, I think they are displayed to show the nine more recent keywords or the nine keywords in the selected keyword set. I haven't found a way to use them.

Hi !

I'm on PC and I found how I can use this numbers.

On the PC, the keys ALT + key 0-9 apply the keyword with the corresponding number !
Nice job from Adobe

Regards from Switzerland !

Thanks Pierre-André, it also works on a Mac (with the Option key). I was pretty sure that I tried all possible key combinations...

by the way, where are you from? I'm in Pully near Lausanne.

Pierre-André,
Congrats for your two fantastic photos.
The one from Chasseral brings fond memories as I was born in Moutier - We moved quickly to Great Britain but I still remember that beautiful region. The other one (Grand Tétras) is also stunning  and I must confess that I never saw this rare bird in the wild.
