Hey there,
I have an espon 2400 that I am very happy with, I need to order some new ink for upcoming prints and recently came across mediastreet inks via B&H. How are they compared to the K3 inks? I am not looking to make archival prints, just for a portfolio that is reprinted every year will i see any differences in the quality?
and then again, if i do want to make more archival prints, how are they?
i guess what are the pros and cons of using them vs the epson K3s?

Stick with the Epson inks. I have had too many problems in the past with aftermarket inks. What I saved in the ink cost was offset by the waste of paper and time.
I know.......others will swear by aftermarket, but I think you will find just as many folks swearing at them.

In the past, using a 1200 for B&W and a 1280 for color, I used the inks from MIS. I made my own profiles and got very good results. However, I have since gotten a 4800, a K3 ink printer and had thought that I would be using the MIS K4 inks. After doing a bit of investigating, I have decided to stick with the Epson ink set for this printer. The main reason is thet the Epson K3 inks are formulated a bit differently, and the gamut is better. Also, using 3rd party inks, you will most likely need to do your own profiles, or have them made for you. Just my .03 cents worth
