Title: 2 monitor color management
Post by: yoni on December 22, 2006, 10:06:28 pm
I am using Pulse ColorElite on a Mac and for the first time 2 monitors. While the software allows me to profile each separately, how does  that work. As I understand monitor profiling, the profile table is used when saving the file. If each monitor is profiled, which profile is used? The one were the window is located (makes sense)? Or, the main one (ie the one with the menu system, that would be rather stupid)? If the former, what happens if the image spans across both monitors?

The video cards used in the maxc will support two profiles, so if you are doing dual monitor with two hooked up, and open the display prefs, the box with the selections of profiles will appear on each screen, for that monitor. When you save the profile, you could, as a safety measure, title each profile with some sort of indicator as to which monitor it is for and when you are checking to make sure each monitor is set to ts correct profile, you will know.

Thanks, but that not my issue. My issue was not how to calibrate. However, I figured it out. I had it ass backward I think. The profile does not impact file content just mapping to monitor space. Of course! A bit of a brain block here.
