The following is the location of a pdf covering the Epson 3800 that provides information regarding ink usage, color gamut comparison and color stability.

Those references only talk about ink consumption for switching between matte and photo black. As usual, they are silent about the amount of ink needed to make a print. That remains to be user-determined.
