Title: 3800 F-gloss printer settings?
Post by: atodzia on December 18, 2006, 02:57:27 pm
Any 3800 owners using F-Gloss paper in 8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 17 sizes have any problems with pizza wheel lines. scratches, etc. with this paper and if you were able to fix the problem, what settings were critical?

I went through the custom paper setup routine and extended the drying time which helped, but it appears the problem is back. I also can't get the 8 1/2 F-Gloss to feed through the rear slot, but have no problem with 11 x 17 and 17 x 22.  The warm tone F-Gloss and Silver Rag doesn't give me any problems.

Thanks,
Andy

Is the paper dead flat?  If not, I would try to flatten it, or not use it.

I flattened it (actually it ended up with a slight reverse curl) and printing is going better now with this paper. It still isn't as easy to load in the rear slot as other similar papers, in the small size, but I may also need to get the knack of it.
