I just took delivery of my 3800. Do I need to call the Preferred Tech Support number and register or anything like that, or just wait to call them when the unit mis-behaves?

There is an enclosed warranty registration card you can fill out and mail in.
They also list a web address where you are supposed to be able to register it
but when I went there the 3800 was not a choice in the drop down yet.
In either case, they say failure to register the product will not diminish your
warranty in any way.
