Title: Aperture and amateur colour management
Post by: Mosccol on December 08, 2006, 12:09:52 pm
I am not sure if the problem comes from Intel Macs or from Aperture, but I can't seem to shake off a Yellow colour cast on everything that Aperture prints. I have used a couple of different printers (RGB and CMYK) and get the same issue on both under sRGB. I have also noticed that somehow the  setup menus seem to be different depending on whether one is using a PowerPc or an Intel machine (Intel = fewer choices in menus).

Anybody wanting to describe how to calibrate/choose a basic setup for an RGB home printer?

Thanks

Is your monitor profiled with a hardware calibration device like an EyeOne or a Huey?

If not... that's a mandatory first step.  A Huey is like $90 and will do the job well enough.
