Title: When will there be a smaller version of theiPF5000
Post by: Mike Seroni on December 04, 2006, 11:10:23 am
Is Canon coming out any time soon with a 13" version of the iPF5000? I am thinking of buying a Epson 2400 but would rather have the Canon.

The 9500 is Canon's upcoming 13" pigment ink printer.  Due 1st quarter 2007.

Will the 9500 have 12 carts offering as wide a gamut as the 5000?

I think it is a 10 color printer.  Lemme check....

No idea if this url will work.

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controll...7&modelid=12414 (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=117&modelid=12414)

10 colors.  Presumably a smaller gamut than the 5000.

The smaller version of Canon IPF5000 will have 10 inks.
