how can i increase the limitation for the maximum image size in lightroom? its too little for many images in my library and so the librrary function becomes worthless if i have to exclude in any shooting 2 or 3 images ( a.e. panoramas ).

Yes, it is! Be sure to voice your dissatisfaction on Adobe Lightroom forum. It's unlikely to influence version 1.0, though.
