Title: Mamiya ZD sample

Here is a Full-resolution (15 Mb JPG) sample (http://timelessme.com/temp/mmfc0016_s.jpg)  from Mamiya ZD, developed using SilkyPix 3.0. SilkyPix has an outstanding highlight recovery (e.g. the wall of the house on the right side was overexposed).

Hi If you are in the US where did you buy the ZD camera from ( Europe )? Also if you get a chance try RD on a friends MAC if you get the chance. I have compared both processors and I think RD gets a cleaner file , however the file in your sample is really good.

To me it looks sooo digital.  And the foreground evergreen trees are pretty soft.

I think you'l find that the wind was blowing the bushes at a guess.

Do you have the 35mm by any chance, I would like to see a sample shot wide open. The posted image looks pretty good to me.

Hi Kevin,

Unfortunately I don't have 35mm lens, and I don't think that I will... If I would need a wide angle, I wuold simply shoot a few images and stitch them. I saw your other post for comparison vs. Canon. ZD blows it away - by FAR.

As far as soft trees on the forground - that was limied by the depth of field - a simple lens blur. The focus is on the house in the center of the frame. The trees on the forground were MUCH closer to the camera.

Is there some sort of textured glass in a couple of the windows.

Specifically,the 'main' window just to the right of the chimney has a funky,contoured
pattern of some sort. Maybe,it's just a weird reflection
As well,the window on the house in the background (just to the left of the chimney)
has a texture,of sorts,that doesn't look like 'straight' glass.

I would have to agree with Doug,to some degree that certain areas have a bit of a
digital feel. The brickwork,in places,and some of the finer,in focus branches have a
'smoothness' to them that is reminiscent of the look that Phase files had a couple of  
generations ago when they employed a slightly heavy default noise reduction setting.

This one is without color processing which was applied to a first post (enhanced the blue, yet increased noise in the sky).

The window in the house does look strange even to the naked eye - it seems that the glass is curved!
