Title: newer gitzo tripods, 2540L ?
Post by: amplexis on November 28, 2006, 09:44:21 pm
hello,
i am ready to buy a new tripod, most probably the gitzo 2540L which is the tall version of the 1258. it is a 6X series and i assume it is not being surpassed when the newest gitzos ship in january. i shoot a lot of multishot panos and i think extra long legs would be great on sloped surfaces or in the middle of creeks and other odd places. i figure i don't have to extend the fourth sections other times. i am 5'10" tall and having a camera that high up makes sense. i will remove the colum and mount a  BH40 on a markins tripod base. anyone see any obvious madness in my choice? thanks,
vincent
