Title: What roomlight?
Post by: RedRebel on November 18, 2006, 03:19:39 pm
Until now I don't print my self (I am an amature) but yesterday I received my GretagMacbeth Color checker and I noticed the color differences between my monitor and this color checker.

After experimenting a little with my halogen lamp, and daylight I started realizing the impact of room light on the way I see colors on a screen or in a print/color checker.

I wonder how others have solved this?

ps I measured my lamp and according to my monaco Optix XR its about 2450K.

My current monitor (CRT) is calibrated at D65 and I realize daylight is somewere between 5000-6500K or so...

I have 6 "recessed" lights in the room and used 6 of the 18 watt bulbs
