Title: IPF5000 and IPF9000 Inks
Post by: photographist on November 15, 2006, 01:45:49 pm
Does any one know if the inks for the IPF5000 and the IPF9000 printers are the same?  I know the cartridges are non compatable, but I'm looking to use an IPF9000 profile with the 5000.

Thoughts or comments   ?

Thanks!

The advertising and marketing as I read it - directly implies the inks are the same, which then suggests the possibility that profiles may work interchangeably - but they are different printers so there always is the possibility of "differences" that could be detectable. Maybe someone will have inside info or direct experience, but I would hypothesize I could use one in either and confirm thru the results for now.
