Title: Problems printing on hahnemuhle Photo Rag
Post by: thomasmoran on November 06, 2006, 08:06:13 pm
I'm having some problems getting my Epson R2400 to print on hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 and was hoping some of the experts around here could get me pointed in the right direction. I went to the hahnemuhle site and downloaded the ICC profile and then read their handling instructions. In the instructions its states that you should select "Velvet Fine Art" for the media type but when I go to do this in photoshop it is grayed out. My understanding is that this paper is meant to be used with the  Photo black so I tried loading both the photo black and matte black cartridges and restarted Photoshop and the printer after loading each of the blacks to see if the velvet fine art option became available but it was to no avail. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong here and how to get fixed so I can select the Velvet fine art option?

Thank you for your time

Thomas

On a Mac: Page Setup > Paper Size > Manual Roll

(You need to feed the paper in the back of printer, using the extra tray that came with your printer).

Use Matte Black ink.
