Title: Macro Lens
Post by: VicS on November 06, 2006, 12:09:39 am
Can anyone give me some pointers on a good macro lens for Canon. I would consider either Sigma, Canon or Tamron. I would like something that I could walk around with and take some close-up snaps. I do not necessarily wish to put together a complex set-up and stand everytime I want to take some macro shots.   Any help please?

You have to do 2 things...

1) Tell us what camera you are using and what type of subjects you want to take close-up pictures of.

2) Describe the circumstances that preclude you from wanting to use a tripod.

Maybe then we can help.

I have the 100 mm Macro on a FF 1dsII's, for the price etc it is tack sharp, might be a little big for walking around though but a great lens.
