Title: ipf 5000 Print Size
Post by: KSG Find Anawers on November 04, 2006, 09:36:32 pm
What is the smallest size Print of a photo the Canon ipf 5000 prints? Need to know, ipf was ordered before post stating 8 by 10 was smallest media. Can this printer print smaller photos??? If not is there a Canon Printer with the same size inks, near the same specs and price of the ipf 5000. Does smallest media size  for this printer mean the prints cannot be smaller? The ipf 5000 printer will not be sent out until Monday Oct  6 AM. I hope I have listed this question in the correct area of this forum.

The smallest paper handled by the ipf 5000 is 8X10. You can obviously print smaller prints  but on 8x 10 paper. You can put more than one print on the 8x10 paper but not on smaller paper.

By the way I love the printer!

That’s a relief Bob, I thought all printers could print any size photos; I have never owned a large format printer, sooo while I was anticipating the arrival of this printer I realized I should ask just to be sure. Are their different types of the roll medias suitable for greeting cards, I do not mean regular common card stock; I'm looking for a nice elegant media for wedding cards yet suitable for any occasion,
B-D, Invitations etc. Thanks again Darlene

My image prograf ipf 5000 arrived today!!!!!!!!!
Bob, do you know the correct media setting for Neenah's Classic Linen 80c 216 g/m? 17 by 22. I intend to print 4 different greeting cards at once. I'm in the dark this is my first large format.
We do not have the printer set-up yet, we have too enlarge the area for the printer; we were not expecting the depth of this printer. Darlene
