It's a fairness issue, the other poll was just A65 and A75.

i'll add my own: i love my p25. i expect to order a p45+ before the end of the year. phase backs are solidly built and are reall workhorses. imho: the image quality is unsurpassed. the tech support is unsurpassed.

Edmund, I do not think you went out of your way to be fair. If you wanted to be fair, you would have used at least the same or similar questions and phrasing you used in the Leaf poll. On this poll you have very different questions. I'm sorry to say, these polls are rubbish and contribute nothing the understanding of anything!

I have no idea how well a Phase Back performs. I have only held and made exactly 2 shots on somebody elses Contax/P30 combi. Besides that I have only used Leaf backs.
I do find this thread interesting though, I had to vote to see the results sofar.

I think these two polls will not work out, though I understand the intention. If the results show that more people are having the cast issues with Leaf than with Phase, it may just be telling us that more architecture shooters are buying the Leaf product than the Phase product.
Also, when I work with a Phase back, at least twice a month, I see Lens Cast and correct it as part of the C1 Pro workflow. It is not seen as a defect any more than reciprocity was with film. When I work with my Aptus 75 and have to run a software correction to remove the centerfold, I see it as a defect. Both files are fixed perfectly. I believe this kind of nuance in perception will skew the results too far to be of good use.

Do you shoot a MFDB or are you one of the Dentistas with more money than brains.

to ensure full and total fairness: what about Sinarback owners, as well as Imacon owners?
I get really the feeling that this forum is a Leaf/Phase place.

Save your self’s from any indications & favoritisms with regards to any Camera/Lenses/DB/Software and solely decide by your own choice.

I repeat what I already said: if you wish to be really fair, then ALL brands have to be named/polled, e.g. Hassel/Imacon and Sinarbacks.
It just seems to me that there is no intention at all to be any fair and give equal rights to all brands.

in my opinion, all of those so-called "polls" are beyond silly, and have no place here whatsoever, in a place where professionals discuss these issues. they should be deleted entirely. is the author of these polls even a photographer? what is his purpose here?

Polls certainly have flaws, but they are a bit of fun, and whether some like it or not, they do provide a way for one group to see the preferences of the larger group.
The lack of a few other backs does not corrupt the poll, it simply says you to need to interpret based on the choices.
I think most of the criticism is based on one thing -
the commenters do not like the results!

Absolutely right: the results cannot be "liked", for not providing to all players the same chance. As simple as that, the results are biased. Personnaly I won't pay attention to such polls, rather making my opinion by my own and by testing myself. But the fact that other players are out gives the wrong impression to those who don't know, they life can be beautiful only with P1 or Leaf.
