I was reading the most recent issue of Popular Photography today and there was a short article on Freestyle Photographic Supplies in Hollywood. Apparently they stock films, paper and darkroom chemicals (not to mention Holga cameras) from around the world. I have no experience them but apparently they have 100% satisfaction policy, which would be hard to beat. You can find them at: http://www.freestylephoto.biz (http://www.freestylephoto.biz) So if you're looking for your favourite B&W paper and can't find it anywhere in your home town, maybe give them a try...

Freestyle has been around for a long time. I first bought from them in the 1960s, and I have occasionally since then, always with good, accurate service.

I've been using Freestyle for a few years now and find their combination of service, selection, and pricing to be unbeatable. Standard shipping to the East Coast is a little slower than I'd prefer (generally 6-7 working days), but it's inexpensive.
Of course I'd prefer to buy locally, but selection is very limited, and generally double the price for film, chemicals, and paper.

Disclaimer, I am proud member of the Freestyle Advisory Board of Photographic Professionals.
FWIW Freestyle's commitment to traditional film techniques is very real. I know most of the executives there and, though they are businessmen from non photographic backgrounds (hence the advisory board), they truly love traditional photography, have discerning tastes and are in this business for the long haul. They tireless work with European film and paper manufacturers to develop new products, resurrect old ones, and to maintain consistent standards.

I order frequently from Freestyle and consistently have received good service. My college uses Freestyle exclusively for photo lab supplies. Freestyle has two catalogs, one for consumers and one for institutions.

How are they at shipping to Canada? What's the duty like? I need supplies for processing B&W negs, or is that still easy to get in Canada? I've been out of the film game for a while now. We moved to the country and there's nothing locally for processing, darkroom supplies, and the like.
I'm feeling a need to play with my film cameras again.
