Title: bryce morning
Post by: Jeremy Roussak on July 09, 2018, 02:39:34 pm
Each time I look at, and like, one of my photographs of Bryce Canyon, I worry that I'm allowing my memories of what to me is one of the most sublimely beautiful, almost magical places I have visited to colour, to overwhelm any objective evaluation of the image.

Anyway, here is another one. It looks warm, but it was in fact jolly cold, so it fits reasonably well with my icy moods.

That is quintessential Bryce.
Nice!

I am color challenged but IMO you have presented a true rendering and resisted the temptation to put it to the metal that we see so often.Chuck

Well done, compositionally and processing wise.

While I agree that the place is "almost magical," I'd go with what one early settler said: "One hell of a place to lose a cow." :)

Splendid stuff, Jeremy. Beats icebergs hands down.

The colours seem natural and there is a sense of coolness to the light I think because you have enough shadow to balance it nicely - I don't think it looks overly warm (in an environmental sense).  So, again, there's a good balance in the composition.

I do find the right corner foreground a little distracting, but minimally so.
